Bit the bullet and joined Slack Attack last night. I think it’ll be good. There’s definitely a desire to put all the crap behind us and move forwards, which will be fun. ‘Cause, you know, it’s a game. It’s supposed to be fun. I’m not going to pay $15 a month to be maudlin. 
So my WoW guild had a schism this past weekend. I logged on on Saturday night after being away for most of the day and most of the guild was gone. There has been some ongoing melodrama on the forums lately and apparently it got to be too much. I finally read through the forums and, honestly, don’t think I want to be in a guild with either of the main people involved. The new guild is called “Slack Attack,” which strikes me as a nice little ‘fuck you’ to the former guild leader, as well, which bothers me. I’ll probably join the new guild later this week because I do like a lot of the people who have moved over…I’d prefer to stay, but KS doesn’t seem to be going anywhere for the immediate future. The gl is talking about changing servers and is selling off the bank stuff. Plus, it’s not like I really *need* the guild at the moment. I’m not doing endgame raids (yet), but it’s nice to have a regular group of people to hit up for my-level instances and such. We’ll see how it goes. If there’s any momentum back with KS, I’ll be back.

Guess who has a new mount? This guy! He’s a lovely brown riding kodo who I can’t describe to my wife. “Well, it’s sort of a dinosaur-lizard thing. Like a stegosaurus without the plates, because that’s where the saddle is…” Heh. She thinks I’m nuts.
Edit: I realized after posting this that I was remiss in not publicly thanking my guild for helping me raise the gold for my mount. In particular, I want to thank my good friend Mortificia (who is now taunting me with his flying mount) and the ever-helpful Zalaga/Kirin.
Thought I’d get a little further this past week than I did. Oh well. I hit 39 Friday night or Saturday morning and am halfway to 40, but decided to slow down and focus on some other skills for a little bit. My main weapon for the past 20 levels or so has been a two-handed mace (well, two, actually, but I’ve had the current one for about the past two weeks, so I have a nice, high proficiency rating with it. The other weapons? Not so much. I’ve had a decent dagger sitting in my bank for the past few weeks, waiting for me to be ready to use it (had to be level 39 first) and I bought a one-handed mace at the auction house, so I’ve been trading them back and forth as I grind, bringing my skills up.
Also, I finally made it to the Swamp of Sorrows and got my artisan alchemy training, so I blew a bunch of money on recipes. As soon as I collect the mats, I’ll be able to make myself a philosopher’s stone and do some transmutation. Woot.

Waradwen is at level 35 as of this morning, and Emma yelled at me for playing for the first time this weekend. Well, she was frustrated after sitting for an hour at Walgreen’s, only to find out they didn’t have one of the meds (and didn’t bother to tell her until *after* they had filled the other), and snapped a little.
My goal for this week is 40 and a mount. We’ll see how that goes. Four levels and 100 gold in a week? Hmmm…good thing Emma’s going to her conference this week…
I never got around to posting this yesterday. I took the picture yesterday morning, though, so I hope it still counts. Isn’t the red hoodie silly? I’m not sure that the additional 33 points of armor are worth how silly it makes me look. Heh.
As of late last night, I’m about a raptor or two away from level 33. I’ve gotten passed by my friend’s toon, though, so I need to spend some serious time in-game.
A quick post to let everyone know I’m not dead. I did almost nothing productive this weekend which was nice at the time but I’m now regretting. Too much stuff to do, not enough time to do it. I had a lot of fun playing WoW, though, of course.
I’ll write more in a few hours, after I get a couple of digestions started here at the lab. Before I leave, though, I’ll give you today’s Monday Morning Screenshot. The only toon I’ve played this week for any serious amount of time is Waradwen, so here he is standing outside of the Wailing Caverns. My plan for this evening is to run through there a time or two, ’cause I need to make some money, yo! I went a little nutty this weekend and bought some nice alchemy recipes, so the ol’ moneybag is a little light this morning. Anyway. Off to work to earn my real people-money.
